Join Hayden Kennedy (Napier City Council), Michele Hayes (Aqua Management Ltd), Bobby Harpur (Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa), and Emmett Feeley (CLM) to hear more from some of their award-winning Waves highlights!

If you missed the Waves Gala Dinner or wanted to hear more about the 2024 Aquatics Awards winners, this is the webinar for you!

We are excited to have our panelists share more from their winning initiatives:

Hayden Kennedy joins us from Napier City Council to share the story of the No Limits Para-Try-Athlon, which won the Aquatic Innovation Programme award. The No Limits ParaTry-Athlon is a multi-sport experience for tamariki who require specific accommodations to compete in one or all of the three legs. Hayden is the Growth and Activation Lead at Napier City Council.

Merit-winner Michele Hayes from Aqua Management Ltd, will tell us about the CHB Swim4Lives programme. The CHB Swim 4 Lives group is committed to providing support and assistance to improve the swimming ability of all Central Hawke's Bay children by reducing the barriers for schools to access and participate in Deep Water Safety Training.

Bobby Harpur joins us from Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa, who won the award for Aquatic Innovation in Operations for their Staff Wellness programme. This initiative embodies their values of manaakitanga for staff as well as their customers. Bobby manages the Pool Operations and Customer Services at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa.

In early 2023, CLM began its journey toward sustainability by appointing Emmett Feeley as the Sustainability Manager. Recognising that their continued success was deeply connected to the health of the planet, the organisation aimed to commit to both sustainability and decarbonisation. The goal was not only to reduce utility consumption but also to cultivate environmental awareness among their team.
