In Aotearoa New Zealand, everyone deserves access to our stunning natural environment.

Active NZ data reveals that people with impairments are less active outdoors compared to non-disabled individuals. Despite this, there's a strong desire for more outdoor recreation.

Recreation Aotearoa and the Outdoors Accessibility Working Group have teamed up with industry and accessibility experts to create Outdoors Accessibility Design Guidelines.

Developed with disabled people, these guidelines aim to improve access to outdoor recreation spaces across Aotearoa New Zealand for people with impairments and accessibility needs.
