VENUE - Te Pae
We are lucky to have secured this amazing Conference and Events centre in Ōtautahi for our 2025 Waves Conference. Te Pae is located in the central city and within walking distance to many hotels, eateries, hops and outdoor spaces. It is a modern, purpose built event venue. Te Pae means 'The Gathering Place'.
ACCESSIBILITY
Te Pae is a venue that is inclusive and equitable, where all can feel welcome and have an enjoyable and comfortable experience. For Te Pae's venue accessibility details please click here.
Parking
Te Pae does not have an on-site parking facility, however it is within walking distance to a large number of hotels and there are various car parking facilities nearby.
A large Wilson unsealed gravel carpark lies to the North of Te Pae.
Main Entrance
The main entrance we will be using for Green Pavlova is at 188 Oxford Terrace. This is where Google Maps will direct you to.
Recommended Drop-off Zone
We recommend using Oxford Terrace drop-off zone adjacent to the main entrance to the Centre as the closest drop-off zone to entrance, and our conference registration.
Registration Desk
There is a main Te Pae registration desk as soon as you enter the building. The staff here can direct you to the Waves Conference registration and also take any luggage you may want to leave. The Waves Conference will be held on the first floor, there are escalators to your left as you enter through the main entrance.
The Waves Conference registration desk will be located at the top of the escalator, where you will find the friendly Recreation Aotearoa staff to greet you on arrival.
Dedicated Quiet Space
A quiet space for Waves Conference delegates is available on the ground floor, located opposite the disabled toilets on the left hand side of main reception as you face it. There will be signage available.
Assistance During the Event
We're here to help! If you require any assistance during the event, please find one of our friendly Recreation Aotearoa staff at the registration desk to support you.
