Recreation Aotearoa is on a journey to providing accessible and sustainable events for our delegates.

Accessibility

Te Pae is a venue that is inclusive and equitable, where all can feel welcome and have an enjoyable and comfortable experience. For Te Pae's venue accessibility details please click here.

Parking

Te Pae does not have an on-site parking facility, however it is within walking distance to a large number of hotels and there are various car parking facilities nearby.

A large Wilson unsealed gravel carpark lies to the North of Te Pae.

For more information, on transport and parking options, including nearby mobility parking spaces pleaseclick here.

Main Entrance

The main entrance we will be using for Green Pavlova is at 188 Oxford Terrace. This is where Google Maps will direct you to.

Recommended Drop-off Zone

We recommend using Oxford Terrace drop-off zone adjacent to the main entrance to the Centre as the closest drop-off zone to entrance, and our conference registration.

Registration Desk

Registration for Green Pavlova is in the Dobson Foyer on the ground level of Te Pae.

Once you have arrived through the Oxford Terrace main entrance of Te Pae, the registration desk will be located around to your right, where you will find the friendly Recreation Aotearoa staff to greet you on arrival.

Dedicated Quiet Space

A quiet space for Green Pavlova delegates is available on the ground floor, located next to the Parents Room. This is indicated on the Floor Plan below by the light blue square.

Te Pae Sustainability

Te Pae works on the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle. The venue collaborates with their suppliers to ensure the use of scarce resources and emissions are kept to the lowest possible levels.

Key sustainable features include:

  • LED lighting throughout
  • Smart projectors
  • Food dehydrator system
  • Digital signage across the entire centre
  • eWater system
  • Occupancy sensors to manage power usage

The centre also has waste and recycling bins placed across all areas in the effort to maximise recycling and correct rubbish disposal.

To reduce our waste, we will provide delegates with Keep Cups to use at the Coffee Cart - these are sponsored by Citycare Property.

We also no longer provide printed signage or materials for delegates (i.e. the agenda), instead we encourage you to find all useful information via this website/app. You may also notice we have stopped using plastic sleeves for the lanyards.
