Lincoln University

Lincoln University, one of New Zealand’s premier tertiary research institutions, collaborated with the PLF in 2023 launching the Master of Parks Management (MPKM), the first post graduate degree of its kind in the Southern hemisphere. The qualification, co-developed by Associate Professors Emma Stewart and Stephen Espiner, followed a call from the New Zealand Parks Leaders Forum (PLF) to address an urgent skills shortage in the sector. The program kicked off this past November, attracting students from across Aotearoa, with options to study via distance learning. New Zealand Parks Leaders Forum

The PLF aims to enhance and increase the significant range of environmental, social, and economic benefits to the community that parks provide. Membership provides access to parks managers’ meetings and resources for the creation of new parks-specific communications and materials supporting best practice, future planning, and advocacy.

NZSTI (NZ Sports Turf Institute)

NZSTI is a member of the Labosport Group, an independent, world class sports surface organisation, and is New Zealand’s only full-service sports surfaces consultancy group specialising in research, training and advice relating to design and management of natural and synthetic sports surfaces.

Founded in 1949, NZSTI is recognised as the “standard setting body” for sports surface maintenance and management. We provide independent, scientifically based advice on all aspects of sports and amenity surface planning, construction, and maintenance.
